A man most likely sick with untreated diabetes is helped to go back home. He was instructed on changing the diet to avoid the 99% starch/sugar diet he normally eats to add beans and other things.

We had some good time with fellow missionaries - Shawn and Sara Gardner - who a year ago had to leave because their son caught a sickness which required him to be life-flighted to South Africa where he almost died. He hasn't recovered full mental capabilities. The Gardners are now working for 1 or two more years from South Africa to assists some community driven projects in Mozambique.

Our city of 500,000 plus has water fed from a reservior. But now a couple pumps are burned out and we don't get water all through the day.

With three families on this property we must add an underground reserve tank for water and also pump it up to a tower. It's taking forever to build because of part availability, etc.

We head for a trip back to a Mozambican friends home. It's close to the famed Mount Namuli, where the Makua people originated. There is much folklore and superstition about this mountain.

We drive up the mountain side and the weather turns cool. We traverse through deserted Tea Plantations.

We come to a few villages way back in the mountains. People often even run from us because since the war 15 years ago, the apprearance of strangers is often a bad thing.

Down in the mass of people we notice that many many men are drunk this Sunday afternoon. Although this district is highly religious - (Catholic, Baptist, Church of Christ, Assembly of God...) - in all these churches most are following an empty religion of works and bound by many fears and superstitions.

We didn't reach Mt Namuli because our guides lied that they knew the various road to take to get there even tough they didn't know. But God knows and we enjoy the site.

Grandma (Pat) diagnoses 2 women with anemia due to diet and possibly worms and gives them advice on who to get a better diet of green leafy things grown in the area and plants to possibly kill some worms they might have. Careful instructions are left. The women are grateful.
